Man's machine-knitted sweater and sash with a deep rolled collar. Hip-length with long sleeves and a matching knotted fringe sash to tie at the waist. Knitted in a ground colour of slate blue with a repeating stylised tree motif in maroon and off-white. The body is straight with seams at the sides. The armholes have a free standing ribbed edge to give the effect of a matching sleeveless waistcoat worn over a roll-necked pullover. The sleeves are very slightly flared at the cuffs but otherwise are cut straight. There are knotted loops at either side of the waist for the sash.
