Bodice, skirt and dress fragment of fine beige wool challis with a printed design of pink and yellow rose sprays.
Bodice faced with green silk. Medium high waist, and low and slightly pointed neckline. Trimmed at the bust with rows of pleats. The sleeves are long medium full and are arranged in pleats below the shoulder and trimmed at the lower edge with a frilled ruche. They fasten at the waist with a cuff. The cuffs fasten with two pearl buttons with worked loops. Boned at the sides and the centre back where it fastens with flat brass hooks with worked eyes. Lined with cotton and has a deep canvas waistband.
Skirt, which has been altered, consists of a full width panel front, darted at the hips and set smoothly into the waist band, and with two gored panels at each side, gathering towards the centre back waist. Padded at the hem and faced with brown linen and glazed cotton. The waistband is machine stitched. The skirt fastens at the back with a large flat brass hook and eye.
