Handkerchief of plate-printed white silk. Printed in black with a design commemorating the Treaty of Utrecht. In the centre is an abstract of the Treaty of Peace between the Queen of Great Britain and the King of France, concluded at Utrecht in 1713. Below this are printed some of the clauses of the treaty and surrounding the text are portraits of the sovereigns and other nobles. With design of cornucopias and symbols of war. In each four corners is the coat of arms of one of the allies. The handkerchief is edged with a strip of silk at each side, striped blue and white in the warp and woven with a chevron twill.
