Dress and coat in brown chiffon with a figured design of chrysanthemums.
The dress is knee length and is decorated with machine-embroidery with a chevron design. Simulated button fastening at the waist and a low 'V' neck, and outlined in brown skunk and filled with a frilled vest of white tulle. The sleeves are long, cut in one with the bodice and have small frilled cuffs of tulle. At the high waist is a shaped belt of coral beads, gilt plates and crystal bead embroidery on gilt lace. The skirt, slit at the knees in front, is draped at the centre back where it is caught at the knees with a brown velvet bow. Lined with white satin and there is a pleated brown chiffon frill at the hem.
The coat is of brown chiffon velvet. Knee length with a broad rounded basque of plain brown velvet, lined with brown chiffon and wired to shape. The sleeves are wide and straight, cut in one, and have plain brown velvet cuffs. Lined with brown satin and fastens at the waist with two hooks and eyes.
