On the underside of the lid is a printed label showing the words BY APPOINTMENT TO THEIR MAJESTIES THE KING AND QUEEN (Edward VII) TOM SMITH'S CHRISTMAS TOY CRACKERS with instructions and an illustration of a man and woman.
