Place of origin

Woman’s petticoat of pink silk satin, lined with a undyed glazed worsted and wadded with a thin layer of wool. It is quilted in running stitch with pink silk thread in a horizontal pattern of wide swags with bows and flowers around the hem and a diamond pattern of 1-½ inch (3.5 cm) squares, above. The petticoat is made of 6 panels of silk, opening at the centre back with a pocket cut into the panel on the right side.
