Woman’s stomacher of bleached linen, backed with coarse linen. It is embroidered with coloured silk twist in satin, herringbone, stem, long and short stitches in a pattern of flowers against a back-stitched shell-pattern ground. The stomacher is in 3 pieces with false robings and 10 worked holes on each side for decorative lacing. All the edges are bound with narrow linen tape.
