Man’s jacket possibly remade from an early 18th-century furnishing (bedcover or curtain) of fustian twill embroidered with worsted thread in a pattern for flowers and leaves, and lined with linen. It has a round neck, long, 2-piece, curving sleeves, straight fronts and short skirts reaching to the top of the thigh. There are 22 worked buttonholes on the left front with corresponding worsted thread-covered buttons on the right (1 missing), 4 buttonholes and 4 buttons (1 missing) on each sleeve.
In the late 19th century, a brown velvet collar was added, with edgings to cuff and hem.
