Pair of ruffles of fine muslin embroidered with cotton in stem, satin, long and short buttonhole and over-cast stitching with eyelet holes and decorative fillings of pulled fabric work. The scalloped edges are decorated with large exotic flowers joined by small, leafy stems. A few leafy sprigs are scattered over the ground. The ruffles which are gathered onto the bands at the top are shaped and increase in length from centre front to centre back. When worn, the decorated edges of both ruffles show, one above the other.
