Textile panel of embroidered linen canvas appliqué on cotton velvet. Three horizontal bands joined together, with the topmost band composed of two pieces, of dark green velvet applied with flowers, animals and insects. Worked in green, yellow, white, red, pink, cream and blue silks in tent stitch on linen canvas, and couched along the outlines with green floss silk. The background is sprinkled with moths and beetles with cream silk in padded satin stitch.
