Parts of a set of childbed linen including a biggin, long bib, stayband, forehead cloth, pair of sleeves, pin-on bib and a pair of mittens. All are made of fine bleached linen and decorated with an applied plait [braid] of 2 or 3 strands of 3/32-inch (1 mm) wide linen tape. The long bib has pin-tucking on each front. The pin-on bib is applied with a ruffle of ⅜-inch (8 mm) wide linen, arranged in a decorative pattern.
