Christening robe of ivory silk satin, opening at the front, lined with ivory silk sarsenet. The neck is square and there are pleats front and back, with short, straight sleeves each with a cuff and shoulder strap. It is embroidered in satin, long and short stitches and French knots in ivory silk twist in a pattern of flowers and leaves on each side of the front, along the hem and on the cuffs. A wide looped fringe of ivory silk twist edges the front skirts, hem and cuffs.
