Velvet altar frontal. Five widths, plus narrower pieces at each end, made of crimson silk velvet with gold thread and gold loops in a pattern of curving bands, lobed leaves, thistle heads and other plant forms. Frontlet of the same number of widths, of the same crimson velvet, with gold fringe below. All edged with gold bands, possibly of later dates. Velvet selvedge shows vertical bands of white and light green silk warps.
