Chasuble of lancé lampas; ground woven in twill, pattern weft bound in twill. Design repeating every three vertical rows, of a chained hart in an enclosure, a swan with ringed neck and crown, a chasing collared dog, rayed clouds and flowers.The back of the chasuble contains a complete width of the silk (six pattern repeats), with seams just inside each outer edge (a little of the selvedge is visible on one side) and at the front of the shoulders. It is lined with blue linen.

Purchased from Bock Collection.
When acquired in 1863 it was described as Sicilian, but in Dr Bock's revision of 1883 he commented that it was woven in Lucca in imitation of Sicilian patterns.
