Object history | Registered File number 1984/1852. Rag rugs were produced for sale by the Grenfell Mission in Newfoundland, founded in 1892. The Mission developed to include a thriving Village Industry department, raising funds by using the skills of local people to produce handicrafts which supplied the growing home and export market for folk art. |
