Woman’s jacket of dark pink silk tobine with vertical stripes of blue, white and yellow. It has a ‘V’ neckline and elbow-length sleeves with ruched cuffs. The front and pleated back extend into skirts below the waist. The bodice is lined with linen and boned at the centre front and back. A 1½-inch (6.3 cm) white silk ribbon is gathered and applied to the neckline, fronts and hems. A narrow ribbon trims the cuffs. The jacket fastens at centre front with hooks and eyes.
A tuck has been added later to each side of the front neckline.
