Woman’s jacket of blue silk taffeta brocaded with white, dark blue, orange and yellow silks in a pattern of abstract floral sprays, heavily pieced. It has a deep ‘V’ neck, long, curved, 2-piece sleeves and short skirts extending below the waist. It was originally lined with ivory silk sarsenet, now shattered. The jacket fastens at the centre front with 4 green-silk covered buttons on the right side and 4 worked buttonholes on the left.
