Travelling Ulster coat and attached hood of brown check tweed, full length double-breasted. Adjustable half-belt at the back which is let into the side seams so that it can either be worn outside or pulled through and worn inside to created a snug fit. The straps on the cuffs are adjustable and can be buttoned to make the cuff tighter. The hood has a strong silk cord drawstring with self-made toggles. Matching piece of cloth attached by a button at the neck which can be buttoned across the neck. Five pockets on the outside, two large hip pockets lined with buff velvet, and three small pockets, all finished with flaps. The inside pockets consists of one breast and one large skirt pocket. Each one is fastened with a single button. The back skirt has a single vent. The coat is half lined with brown satin which reaches to the upper arms of the sleeves. The remainder including the sleeves is lined possibly with camel hair or cashmere.
