Baby’s shirt of fine bleached linen with rectangular sleeves, gathered into narrow cuffs. The sleeves, gussets and shoulders are finished with drawn-thread work. On each shoulder is a ⅝-inch (1.5 cm) wide insertion of hollie point worked in the image of a running dog. On each side of the insertions is a line of swags worked in buttonhole stitch. The neck and cuffs are trimmed with a ¾-inch (1.9 cm) wide edging of bobbin lace.
