Bodice and skirt of cream silk with a pattern of chiné pink and blue roses. The bodice has a low round neck and short puffed sleeves. Bands of gathered self material edged with white satin roulé trim the sleeves and curve across the bust to emphasize the pointed waist. The bottoms of the sleeves are trimmed with a triple frill of ecru machine-made lace, and similar frills are stitched around the neck and across the front of the bodice. The neck is edged with a band of the same material with a ribbon draw string, and to it are applied small bunches of ribbon flowers to the bottom of the bodice and this is extended to cover the centre back opening, trimmed top and bottom with a pink satin bow. The bodice is lined with white silk and there is a grosgrain ribbon waistband with a buckle marked 'SWORP'. A label is embroidered on the waistband.
