Man’s waistcoat, the fronts and the back skirts of pink ribbed silk, the back of pink worsted twill. It has a round neck, curving fronts each with a shaped pocket flap, and short skirts reaching to the top of the thigh. The waistcoat is lined with fustian; the skirts are lined with and the fronts faced with ivory silk twill. There is a ⅜-inch (8 mm) wide woven lace [braid] of silver filé, spangles and red foil spangles trimming the neck, front edges, pocket flaps and hems. There are 13 passementerie buttons of silver filé, spangles and red foil spangles on the right side, with 13 corresponding worked buttonholes on the left.
