Man’s waistcoat, the fronts of bleached cotton woven in vertical stripes of matelassé and satin, the back of bleached linen. It has a 1⅝-inch (4.1 cm) standing collar, wide revers, straight fronts each with a welted pocket, reaching to the top of the hip. The waistcoat is lined with linen. The waistcoat is true double-breasted with 10 self-covered buttons and 10 worked buttonholes on both fronts. There are 2 pairs of linen tape ties on the back.
