Ballgown, black net embroidered all over with black raffia in a vermicelli design, fitted bodice, full skirt with integrated net crinoline petticoats. Large applied red silk flowers with green silk leaves massed around neckline, applied to side front of skirt, and trailing down back of skirt, larger flowers at shoulder and on back of skirt. Some of the flowers are mounted on an appliqué patch of printed silk with a floral design echoing the colours in the flowers. Lined in soft black silk satin.
