he ain Man's coat, waistcoat and breeches of dark pink ribbed silk. The coat has a round neck with 1-inch (2.5 cm) standing collar, curving, two-piece sleeves finishing in 5¼-inch (13.3 cm) deep cuffs. The front edges curve from neck to hem with skirts below the hip, set in pleats 4¾ inches (12.1 cm) between the side and centre back. There is a scalloped pocket flap on each coat front at hip level. The pockets and sleeves are lined with bleached linen; the cuffs, pocket flaps, fronts and back are lined with white silk satin. There are 10 worked buttonholes along the left front edge with 10 corresponding self-covered buttons on the right front, 3 on each cuff, 3 below each pocket, 1 above the pleats on each side, 1 holding the pleats at the hem and 1 half-way up on the back pleat.

The waistcoat has a round neckline, curving fronts and skirts reaching to the top of the thigh. Each front has a pocket and scalloped pocket front. The fronts are made of dark pink ribbed silk; the back of pink worsted. The waistcoat is lined with bleached fustian; the front edges faced and skirts lined with white satin. There are 12 worked buttonholes along the left front, 12 corresponding self-covered buttons on the right front and 3 below each pocket.

The breeches are made of 2 front legs, 2 back legs and 2 waistbands, all cut from the dark pink ribbed silk. The back legs are cut higher than the fronts and gathered into the back waistbands. The breeches are lined with bleached fustian. They have a fall front closure, a pocket on each side and a watch pocket in the front of the right waistband. The waistband fastens with 2 self-covered buttons and 2 bound buttonholes. The pockets fasten with a button and worked buttonhole. There is a button on each front waistband. Four buttons and worked buttonholes fasten each leg above the knee with buckle bands at the bottom.
