This poster advertises the third exhibition of Fine and Industrial Arts held in Barcelona from 23 April to 29 June 1896. Its designer, de Riquer, worked in Barcelona as a figure, portrait and landscape artist, and as an illustrator and writer. He was Spain's most successful exponent of poster design in the Art Nouveau style.
Object history
This poster was reproduced as Pl.64 of Vol.2 of Les Maitres de l'Affiche, Paris, 1897. Another impression is in the Department of Prints and Drawigs, E.3097-1938.
