Sycamore or harewood desk, originally stained green, with six legs and two drawers with brass handles. On the top on each side are sloping inward facing fitted desk compartments, with brass hinges and in the middle of the top of the lid of each, art nouveau inlaid floral motifs. These two desks sections are connected by an open rectangular framework to an arched frame in the centre of the back. This frame is glazed and contains at present a colour reproduction of early
17th century Dutch floral painting and behind that, a photo of a Reynolds portrait. The flat top is lined with green leather with a gilt border.
