This ivory medallion made in ca. 1707-21 in Rome in Italy represents Pope Clement XI (Giovanni Francesco Albani, 1649-1721; Pope: 1700-21). It was almost certainly made in Rome during the Pope's papacy. It derives from a medallic portrait by Charles Claude Dubut of 1707. Another ivory version is in a private collection in Dieppe (December 2017).
