This marble bust portrait represent Cosimo II de' Medici (1590-1621), Grand Duke of Tuscany from 1609 to his death. The portrait, attributed to Pietro Tacca (1577-1640) is closely related to a terracotta bust known in various versions (see A.9-1981).
