This small historicising bust of Queen Christina of Sweden (1626-1689; ruled 1632-54) may have been part of a larger series of monarchs of Sweden; the bust of King Charles XII of Sweden (A.6-1928) currently forms a pair with it. The images may be based on a painting or engraving, their style implying a nineteenth-century date.
