The Virgin is shown with her face in profile to the right. She holds the Child, who nestles against her, on her left arm, his body supported by her right hand. There are traces of red colour shown on the robe, while the ample mantle which is brought over the reddist hair is painted blue. The stucco is oval at the top and has a gilded moulded border. It is thought to be a nineteenth century replica of the central figures of Donatello's Pazzi Madonna.
