Taken from departmental record: 'Concave medallion represtenting in relief the Virgin and Child with cherubs. The Virgin, a half-length figure, stands supporting the Infant Saviour, who stands at her right. Above are two nimbed cherubs, while the whole is surrounded by a band of eight nimbed cherubs within a narrow "egg-and-tongue" border.'
