This portrait relief depicts William Thomas Morris (1874-1944), made by an unknown artist, cast by the Morris Singer Foundry.
William Morris established the Morris Foundry in Westminster in about 1906. The firm moved to Frome in Somerset, having combined with the Singer Company already established there since 1848. The Morris Singer Foundry became the most successful company in Britain casting bronze sculpture and architectural metalwork.

This is a rectangular portrait relief showing the profile bust of a middle-aged, clean-shaven man, wearing a jacket over a collar and tie looking to our left. The cast is slightly hollow at the back. Inscribed.
