This portrait medal depicts an unknown sitter and is cast by the Morris Singer Foundry. William Morris established the Morris Foundry in Westminster in about 1906. The firm moved to Frome in Somerset, having combined with the Singer Company already established there since 1848. The Morris Singer Foundry became the most successful company in Britain casting bronze sculpture and architectural metalwork.
