Moulded bowl, tin-glazed front and back. Painted in blue, green, orange and yellow. In the centre a profile-bust of a man in Oriental costume facing right. To the right a drapery or scroll inscribed with characters perhaps meant to imitate an Oriental language. The border is scalloped and has foliage and scroll-pattern in compartments, alternately grounded in green, orange and blue. The reverse is coarsely painted with concentric circles and semi-circles of blue and yellow. Tin-glazed overall.
