The code number for this model of sundress was P938. Sample dolls wearing the dress were supplied in a small card box stamped: DESC. 6" CARRIE DOLL // MAT. CODE NO. D938 // OTY. 50 PCS // MADE IN HONG KONG. The dolls were then packaged in England Historical significance: The use of sexed figures is quite rare for British dolls, even modern day ones. It is more usual in Europe. |
