Brief description
Plaque of arrow-shape, pale green-tinted glass (now iridized), carved with 'tamgaha' type sign.
Physical description
Arrow-shaped greenish glass plaque decorated in the bevelled style with a 'tamgha' type sign consisting of concentric circles in relief with a small cone-shaped finial at the top and below a three-pronged fork pointing downwards. The exterior border is engraved and extends around four sides, but not the shorter two sides at the bottom. There are two holes pierced in the engraved border for affixation or suspension. The glass is iridized giving it an opaque quality, however it may have originally been of clear glass. There is an old repair on the lower right hand sectionwhich has yellowed and is possibly a resinous material as filler.

Object history
Purchased from Dr. Mohammed Yeganeh, an Iranian dealer resident in Frankfurt (Nominal File MA/1/Y58).
It was reportedly found in Gonbad-e Kabus, Jurjan.
