The chief part of the middle and eight small fragments of the rim of a shallow bowl, with a fragment of another bowl adhering on the outside, painted in blue, yellow, and orange. The design consists of a central medallion filled with four radial stems and small flowers in blue, surrounded by eight radial panels with feather like devices alternately scratched through a blue ground and painted in blue on a yellow ground. Round the narrow rim, within a yellow band, is a row of devices composed of a square intersected by a cross.

Brief description
Portions of a "waster" of tin-glazed earthenware, painted in colour. Italian (Faenza); late 15th or early 16th century.
Physical description
The chief part of the middle and eight small fragments of the rim of a shallow bowl, with a fragment of another bowl adhering on the outside, painted in blue, yellow, and orange. The design consists of a central medallion filled with four radial stems and small flowers in blue, surrounded by eight radial panels with feather like devices alternately scratched through a blue ground and painted in blue on a yellow ground.
