Tray or stand of soft-paste porcelain paintedin enamels. Octagonal and supported on four legs in the form of lion's feet. In the middle is a deep round well surrounded by eight oval ones. The central well is painted with a shield. Above are ribbons and festoons and inscribed with 'A present from Yarmouth'. The edges of the wells are dotted in brown and a brown border surrounds the outer edge.

Tray or stand of soft-paste porcelain paintedin enamels. Octagonal and supported on four legs in the form of lion's feet. In the middle is a deep round well surrounded by eight oval ones. Historical context
Previously identified as an egg stand. The depressions, however, are too small for hens' eggs. According to Godden (see References) this example is unique.
