Cake plate of hard-paste porcelain painted with enamels. Decorated with a seaport scene with Oriental figures and a boat painted en camaïeuin purple in the middle. On the rim is a formal border in gold and red. Underneath is a ring in relief within the foot-ring to give support in the kiln.
