Medallion of white Jasper ware with black dip and white relief decoration. The scene 'Apollo Musagettes' shows Apollo standing between an altar and a column supporting his Lyre. (stringed instrument). A young tree on the far left and a low flaming pillar on the far right complete the composition. The front edge of the roundel is bevelled and polished.
