Vase of "mazarin" blue ground, body of amphora-shape with thin elongated neck and foot spreading to a square pedestal-base. The relief decoration consists of swags of grapes and vine-leaves in high relief and heavily gilt, festooning the shoulder of the vase. Two satyr-masks, painted in enamels of natural flesh-tints and wearing gilt chaplets of the vine, are applied at the shoulder; their horns, shaded with purple, arch up to form handles. On the body, insects and leaves in tooled gilding. On foot and neck formal gilt borders.
