Fruit basket and stand of creamware, pierced and painted in enamels. Basket with double-ogee profile and waved rim mounted on a low, spreading foot; on plan roughtly lozenge-shaped, with concave sides. Belwo the rim is a zone of openwork ornamentation in the form of arcading; below this and immediately abaove the foot, a moulded shell border picked out in puce enamel. Scrolled shell handles similarly picked out. On one side, the initials JCF painted in purple against a backgrouund of green leaves picked out in black. Oval stand with similar arcaded openwork, shell borders, and scrolled handles, and with the same initials, similarly painted in the centre.
