The stopper is in the shape of a trumpet with the mouth downwards. Round the lower part is a formal gilt border on white and above it gilt ornament on a salmon ground. Gilt knob. The neck is wide at the bottom. waisted in the middle, and flaring again at the top. The decoration is on the same principal as the stopper. On the body on one side is a panel with a scene showing a warrior, a chariot and horses, three damsels and a winged figure and described on the bottom as the Triumph of Mercy. On the other side is a broad band of gilt festooned ornament on a salmon ground and borders round the top and bottom with gilt ornament on a white ground. Ring handles.
