Vase of porcelain painted with enamels and gilded. Slender amphora-shaped, with a square plinth and handles, each in the form of two gilt serpents intertwined. On a dark blue ground are, on one side, Venus attended by Cupid, painted in white and black enamel in the manner of Limoges enamels, and on the other side is a trophy of Love and War in raised gilding. Round the shoulder is a white band in reserve, moulded with oval rosettes in relief and picked out in gold.
