Oval stand for a sugar bowl of porcelain painted with enamels and gilded. With an ear handle at either end. Decorated in the middle with a stipple transfer-print in black, and painted over with enamels, of Venus in a chariot drawn by two doves driven by Cupid. Round the rim is a formal border in gold and various colours.
