Brush back of hard-paste porcelain painted in colours and gilded. Rounded diamond shape. The bristles are set in wood held inside the domed porcelain back by pins passing through holes in the porcelain into the sides of the wood. The cover is decorated with rococo scrolls and panels in relief, painted and gilded with details pierced right through. In the panel at the top are painted three soldiers dicing on a drum in a landscape. Figures of soldiers and women appear alternately in four narrow-radiating panels.
