Cup of hard-paste porcelain. Squat, with convex sides and an outcurved lip, the inside fluted. Outside, an Oriental hedge-pattern and floral sprays in a faint smudged underglaze blue is painted over with Oriental floral sprays in enamel colours and gilt. Inside, at the bottom, a medallion with a leafy spray in underglaze blue, details added in colours and gilt; round the lip, formal borders of yellow panels and purple berries.
