Jug of hard-paste porcelain painted with red and purplish-brown enamels. Pear-shaped with a scrolled handle and lead-moulded lip spout picked out in red. Painted on one side with a man leaning on a stick and carrying a spade over his left shoulder. On the other side is a man holding up a pistol, and between them is a large moth. Borders and festoons of foliate scrolls in red.
