Cup of hard-paste porcelain painted with enamels and gilded. Squat shape with spreading convex sides, curving slightly outwards at the lip, and no handle. A heraldic shield in a rococo cartouche surmounted by a coronet, with a field gules, a horse rampant arget, surcharged by a fesse azure with three mullets or. Harbour scenes on either side extends round the cup with figures and shipping, in the manner of Meissen porcelain. Dull blue and orange clouds in the sky. Round the foot-ring, a band of gold. Inside the lip is a deep border of interlaced scrollwork in gold.
