Cup and saucer of porcelain, painted in brown and decorated with gilding. On the front of the cup is a portrait of Alexander I., Czar of Russia (1801-1825). The cup is cylindrical with expanding rim and scrolled loop handle; the inside gilt. At the back is a long panel, enclosing two military trophies, surrounded by branches of laurel and oak in gold. Round the rim of the saucer are a laurel wreath and three similar trophies in gold, and in the middle is the Russian Imperial double-headed eagle with letter A in a shield on its breast, painted in brown.
